Procrastination...
Today instead of studying I looked up safe ways to clean my white MacBook. Anyone out there with a Mac knows how it can lose its pearly white shine within weeks. Online I found a fellow blogger and OCD clean freak that said glass cleaner works wonders... so I got to scrubbing...and presto! My laptop has never looked this good :) I was so pleased. But then the glass cleaner got the best of me and I started scrubbing down my whole bathroom until everything looked as good as new, and an hour went by, and now I only have 14 hours until my test on 5 chapters of nutrition - yikes!!

Not to complain...
but this is going to be a week from hell. I have a 10 page research report and powerpoint on Palm Beach Tan due tomorrow, a 12 page research report and powerpoint on Airport Security due Tuesday, a Nutrition test on Wednesday and my biggest report (25 pages) on AMP needs to be done before I fly home Thursday. Not looking forward to it, and hoping I don't post too many procrastination posts within the next few days!
I stumbled across this picture of orange flowers, aren't they pretty?

Reminiscing... trip to Maine
This past summer my mother and I were driving to pick up my brother from camp and we decided to get a little touristy in Bath, Maine. She claims I have been to Maine before (which I don't remember) so we had lobster rolls and did a little exploring. It was an incredibly dreary day but I loved the peacefulness I felt while we were there.
I took this picture by the little downtown shopping area. Everyone was out shopping because of the nasty weather. I don't have a photo but we also visited a gi-normous L.L. Bean! I loved the home section of the store- everything was covered in lobsters and had a Maine cottage feel.
Steamboat Restaurant?
Serenity
My mom and I joking around at Cook's- where we had the best lobster rolls ever!
Even the McDonald's was quaint :)

One week...
One week from today and I'll be in my hometown for Easter weekend. I can't wait. I have baby cousins who are 3, 2 and one month old and I cannot wait to see them scrambling around my parents backyard for the Easter Egg Hunt. It will be so adorable!!

Procrastination...
There are a thousand ways I procrastinate but right now at the top of my list is looking around ShopBop.com for clothes I don't need. I love shop bop and have actually been fourtunate enough to visit their only store in the US called "Bop" in Madison, Wisconsin. The website is wayyy better than the store, but in the summer for one week the store has one of the most amazing sales I've ever been to. I'm talking designer jeans for less than $50, amazing. I love the label Gorjana and right now at the top of my wishlist is their Greenwich Cross Body Bag. It seems so versitile, and the perfect day bag for summer.
Hmmm, oh well. Back to studying :(
Good Read
Today would also be the best day to start a brand new book!
I recommend Firefly Lane
it made me laugh, it made me cry and most importantly it made me think about life. It was so good it makes me want to read other books by Kristin Hannah.

I recommend Firefly Lane
Sunshine
Today is suppose to be 75 degrees and sunny here! The perfect day to eat lunch outside!
Hope everyone else has amazing weather on hump day!

I love Bethenny
I love Bethenny Frankel from The Real Housewives of New York City. To me she is positively hysterical and I could watch her all day every day. Espeically in Season 2 when she would mock Jill Zarin, I would find myself in stiches laughing so hard. And she is not just a funny lady, her book Naturally Thin is amazing, I could only hope my body will look as good as hers does when I'm 39. She is so bold too, even posing naked for Peta's "I'd rather go naked than wear fur" campaign.
If you haven't heard of Bethenny Frankel I'd tune into The Real Housewives of NYC or read her book.
Greek Chicken Salad
I took a cue from La Mia Vita and tried out the recipe for the Greek Chicken Salad....it was so yummy!
I recommend it to everyone!
My attempted cooking skills in action.

Spring Break 2010!
Last week was my Spring Break! I went to Destin, FL and rented a house with 14 friends. It was so much fun, I went with a great group of people and it was so nice to get away... here are a few of the highlights my the trip:
The Boathouse
If you are ever in Destin this Oyster Bar is so much fun! Packed with crazy locals and live music you are guarenteed a good time- we all went to the Boathouse 3 nights of the week!
The Boathouse's amazing Oysters
(If you don't like Oyster's their menu also includes other Seafood,
Burgers, Grilled Cheeses, etc.- it's all good!)
Me and the BF
(Still pale because this was the first night of the trip)
Hula Hooping
Need I say more?
Legends of the Hidden Pool
Leave it to a group of boys to find a ball and make up a game to play in our cool secluded pool 24/7.
All the girls layed out during "game time".
St. Patrick's Day
It was so funny and amusing that our friend fell asleep in this position at the end of the night.
Our Own Crawfish Boil
This pic was self described as "fratty".
And the crawfish were soo delicious.
In case you couldn't tell I loveee Seafood and the beach was the perfect place to enjoy so much of it. I had such a great week, but now it's back to the grind- of midterms, reports, and exams. :(

Tooooomorrow!!!
Tomorrow I leave for spring break! I am carpooling with my boyfriend, best friend, and my boyfriend's best friend (sounds funny). Campus is dead and I just can't wait to be on the way! I am horrrrible at packing. There is never a time where I can just do it and get it done with-- have you ever noticed you can't ever be completely packed the night before because you need to use most of your tolietries/makeup the day you leave? So it's always a scramble. I have been "packing" (attempting to) for the past 3 hours. I'm on my second load of laundry which is slowing down the process.
Sidenote: I believe in having your sheets changed, laundry done, room clean before you leave for a vacay because nothing is worse than unpacking AND cleaning on a Sunday.
At least all my "going out" options are folded neatly on my bed and my shoes are all picked out. And I just charged the battery and started playing around with my new camera! So excited.... crunch time though, need to eat super healthy because I will be on the beach in no time!
Au revior!!
I promise to take many pictures-- especially using my new sweep panorama mode!
Have a great weekend- and a wonderful week!

Day 5!
I did it!! I've run/walked 3 miles every day since Sunday- 5 days straight! And just when I was about to give up hope that any of this work was going to improve my Spring Break bod.. I stepped on the scale and had lost 5 lbs! I don't understand why I can't see the results that clearly, but I'm so proud of myself I don't care. Now I just have to run tomorrow and not drink too much Saturday when we get to the beach, because Sunday I will be in a bikini!
Go me!
(Note: this above photo is not demonstrating what I will be doing on Spring Break i.e. Spring Break is time for relaxation, not running)

Feeling kinda hungry...
So I was looking at one of my new favorite websites FoodGawker and I saw this amazing take on pizza and I had to give in... I know spring break is 3 days away but this looks easy enough and small enough to be tonight's dinner!
New DigiCam!
Today I went to the store and spent wayyyy over my budget but got a camera I fell in love with! The reason I was over budget was because I didn't know I had to buy a new special memory card + the amazing 2 year warrenty. Oh well. My camera is 14.1 megapixels, 7x zoom, AND 720p HD movie! Yay. So pumped and excited for spring breakk.. it even has this cool panorama feature that I will definitely be trying out on the beach!

Picture This...
I am getting a new digital camera this week!! Little inside scoop on my digi-cam past: owned a really great Sony camera from 2005-2007 and traded it in for a not so great Casio-- just because it was pink (pathetic, I know) had that from 2007-2009. Then this summer when I went on my abroad trip in Greece (10 cities in 3 1/2 weeks~ it was amazing) I used my mom's new Fujifilm camera that is super small (because I thought it would take better pictures). Well I was wrong. The mega pixel-age was set wrong so when I went to print out some of my 650 pictures they wouldn't be able to print bigger than wallet size without looking pixelated/grainy. Most depressing moment ever. Thank goodness for the 20 other people on my trip posting their hundreds of good quality pictures on facebook, so I still have the memories. Anyways it really made me realize how much I value capturing moments on film and I went to Best Buy last week and literally talked the salesman's ear off for close to 45 minutes and walked out without a camera. His recommendation for me: the Sony Cybershot W350 because I want a really good quality camera that also takes HD video. (Side note: he recommended a great Kodack camera more in my budget for my picture quality needs but when I told him I was also interested in the hype of the Flip camera he said I should splurge for a better 2 in 1 deal, a digital camera with HD video capabilities). So I took out my sock drawer savings and transferred money from my savings account and hopefully this week I will go back to Best Buy and buy it. I'm so excited to use it on Spring Break next week!
This is the camera I'm interested in. If anyone has any tips or experiences or reviews of it please let me know!!!

Essentials for Spring Break
My spring break is next week!! I was just talking with one of my roommates today about when we're going to pack and what we will bring... we both decided we're not going to bring too many out there outfits that we never end up wearing anyway (you know like an extreme sequin dress that you might put on but immediately change when you see all your friends are wearing jeans and summer tops). Also this year I'm not going to forget my comfy clothes! Last year we had a couple nights of hanging out while our friend played the guitar and we all "chill" drank and I didn't bring one sweatshirt or pair of sweatpants so I had to borrow! Not gonna happen again.
What is on my packing list?
An adorable cover up
A classic pair of jean shorts

Sunnies of course

A really comfy sweatshirt
(the older and softer the better)
A fun bikini, I just bought this one
A cooler for the beach
and naturally - a sundress !

Happy Friday!
Spring is finally creeping up on us here. It's incredibly sunny out but still windy and cold feeling. Today I noticed 3 different couples holding hands on this sun shining day and it got me thinking... how in love you feel when all you want to do is walk around with someone holding their hand.
It's a pretty cool thing.

It's a girl!
My cousins Robbie and Patti now have a wonderful addition to their family, baby Allison. 7 lb. 10 oz. and perfect! I was so excited when I got the call. They were very secretive about anyone finding out the sex of the baby, but this past Christmas I saw Patti holding her pregnant belly and she said to me "She's...He's kicking" trying to trick me... not so fast. At that second I knew it was a girl!
I can't wait til Easter when I can fly home and see her!

Jet Set
En route of my losing my driver's license for the 2nd time... my mom mailed me my passport and she bought me a super cute cover for my passport to sit inside.
It's by Pylones.
Isn't it cute?
Hopefully I can use my passport to get into the bars this weekend I'm sure many of the bouncers will be impressed by my chic passport case.
Tea Time
This tea found at Starbucks is my favorite. It really does give me a jolt of caffeine and warm me from the inside out. I add 3 spoons of honey to my cup for some extra sweetness. :)

I gave in
All night and this morning all I could think about was Tenley's dress... so I bought it. Couldn't help myself. I have a little rule if you love something that you don't necessarily need sleep on it. By the next day you will know if you have to have it.

We All Knew It
Jake picked Vienna. Vienna got a nose job, I think she looks kind of like Ashley Tinsdale now. ABC is sending them back to St. Lucia. Happily Ever After.
I was very tempted to order this dress that Tenley wore in teal at the "After the Final Rose" episode but I didn't at the last minute. Hope I don't regret it, but it's not really a dress I could wear anywhere but NYC anyway.

Well I'm exhausted. And another great season of reality TV is over. Goodnight.
So you had a bad day...
My bad day fix. Pretzels, caramel, peanuts, peanut butter, and chocolate- all my favorites in one, this candy bar guilty pleasure always makes me feel better on those dreary gray sky Mondays.
The Finale
...because who isn't tuning in tonight??? ON THE WINGS OF LOVEEEE.
Last week's episode of The Bachelor was "The Women Tell All" and I was pretty astonished that Rozlyn failed so badly at convincing everyone she didn't have an affair with a "staffer". I don't care much for Tenley or Vienna (obviously.. who does?) but of course I'll be watching the finale tonight with the girls. I don't know if I'm alone on this one but I don't think Jake is the greatest catch... he is really good looking but in the first episode he couldn't even throw a football! He's too girly and sensitive for me I really don't see the appeal, he seems like dork trapped in a hot body. Hopefully though tonight he and whomever will end up happily ever after.
